Plainfield East Captures Lead Early To Defeat Winnebago Indians Varsity
The Indians fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 19-2 loss to Plainfield East on Sunday. Plainfield East scored on a single by Schuetz, a walk by Havis, a walk by Baldassann, a double by Crowder, a double by Fox, and a single in the first inning.
Plainfield East captured the lead in the first inning. Schuetz singled on a 0-2 count in the first inning, scoring one run.
Peyton McCray took the loss for Winnebago. He pitched, allowing six runs, and two hits.
Connor Anderson, Chad Morrow, Lucas Adams, Michael Writt, Zach Myers, and Jace Warkentien each managed one hit to lead the Indians.
