Two Pitchers Team Up As Winnebago Indians Varsity Shuts Out Oregon
Winnebago defeated Oregon 11-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Michael Writt struck out Falafel to finish off the game.
Zach Myers collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Winnebago Indians Varsity to victory. Myers singled in the second, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, and singled in the seventh.
Winnebago took an early lead in the second inning as they pushed across 6 runs.
Jared Roberts earned the win for Bago. He tossed six innings, surrendering zero runs, three hits, and striking out seven.
The Indians had 14 hits in the game. Myers, Roberts, Michael Writt, and Peyton McCray each collected multiple hits for Winnebago Indians Varsity. Connor Anderson, Myers, and Randy Cordell each drove in two runs to lead Winnebago Indians Varsity.
