Indians Claws Back, But Falls Just Short Against Oregon
Indians fought back after falling down by six runs in the fourth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 6-5 defeat to Oregon on Monday. Indians scored five runs in the failed comeback on a groundout in the fifth, a triple by Bella Intravaia in the sixth, a groundout in the sixth, and a walk in the seventh.
Oregon scored three runs in the fourth inning. Oregon’s big inning was driven by a triple by Emily and a triple by Aleah.
Indians had seven hits in the game. Madi Cox and Bella Intravaia each collected multiple hits for Indians. Intravaia and Amanda Casey each drove in one run to lead Indians.
Oregon collected ten hits. Hailey, Addie, and Emily each collected multiple hits for Oregon. Aleah led Oregon with three runs batted in. She went 1-for-4 on the day. Oregon was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Makena had the most chances in the field with nine.
