Five RBI Day For Thompson Leads Indians Past Harvard
Five runs batted in from Alyssa Thompson helped lead Indians past Harvard 15-3 on Saturday. Thompson drove in runs on a fielder’s choice in the first, a single in the third, and a single in the fourth.
An early lead helped propel Indians to victory. Indians scored on a double by Sammi Russell, a single by Megan Tuite, and a fielder’s choice by Alyssa Thompson in the first inning.
Indians captured the lead in the first inning. Russell doubled on the first pitch of the at bat in the first inning, scoring two runs.
Amanda Casey earned the win for Indians. She threw five innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, and striking out five. Musgrave took the loss for Harvard. She pitched three and two-thirds innings, surrendering nine runs, 11 hits, striking out one, and walking one.
Braken started the game for Harvard. She tossed one-third of an inning, allowing six runs, and two hits.
Indians collected 13 hits. Emily Parlapiano, Russell, Addy Provi, and Thompson each collected multiple hits for Indians.
