Winnovation Headed to Worlds Tournament

Members of FRC Team 1625 Winnovation had a very exciting weekend at competition at the MN North Star Robotics Competition in Minneapolis. The team competed against 53 other teams and after completing 10 qualification matches, were ranked 2nd. The robot was the only robot that could lift its partners off the floor to score a total of 90 bonus points. The team then drafted Team 2451 Pwnage from St. Charles, IL and Team 2225 RUST from Champlin Park, MN. With the alliance, Winnovation won the best 2 out of 3 through Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Finals matches. As a team they also received the Excellence in Engineering Award, and Scott Hill, Coach, received the prestigious Woodie Flower Finalist Award.

The team's win qualifies Winnovation to complete at World Championships at the Cobo Center, Detroit, April 26-28.
